Lee, I was so moved by this beautiful piece. I love getting this little snapshot into your world. I appreciate this tender reminder that our experience here is both deeply rich and fleeting. I pray that I will continue to say yes to this sacred dance of life until my last days.
Paige, thank you for sharing what this piece sparked in you. Your words beautifully reflect what I intended as I wrote the story. May we all keep saying 'yes' to this sacred dance of life.
Deb, this must be so hard for you. What a fine man who shared so much love and laughter with you and your family. Did he like to dance? Thank you for your kind words. I’m holding you close in my heart, dear friend.
Dance as a metaphor for life. What an gift to be rooted with this long time group in true human connection. When my mother was old and close to the end, I asked her if she had regrets -- and she said, "No regrets really, but I wish I'd left my dancing shoes on a bit longer." I loved every word of this beautiful and touching piece. Thank you so much for these images to take into the day.
I'm smiling as I think about your mom cherishing her dance shoes. Clearly, she felt the joy of moving in rhythm to music - a rare freedom in that time when women were supposed to contain their bodies (hello, girdles!) and constrain their natural instincts and passions. Thank you for being here, Stephanie:)

Just beautiful, Lee. I can picture you and that sweet man of yours enjoying such precious moments :)
Thank you for sharing your appreciation, dear Michele. I know you understand what it means to dance with life! 💃
Touched my heart today Lee as I'm experiencing grief losing my Daddy. Thank you for this lovely work or beautiful visuals and words.
