Standing at the Threshold:

The magic of not knowing
1

I’m sharing a special video reflection with you today, recorded while on retreat in the breathtaking Yorkshire Dales of England.

As I walked the grounds of Broughton Sanctuary, a 3000-acre estate that holds centuries of history, I found myself drawn to the quiet symbolism of thresholds: those ancient doorways that seem to appear again and again along the winding path of life.

In this video, I explore what it means to be in a liminal space - which for me are those moments of pause between what was, what is, and what’s to come. It’s a space that invites presence, inquiry, and deep listening. I speak about how these kinds of in-between moments can become fertile ground for insight, clarity, and transformation.

Thanks for reading Radiant Wise Women! This post is public so feel free to share it.

In many indigenous European traditions, the threshold was held as a sacred space where magic could occur; a place between the worlds where deep change was possible. These moments of “in-betweenness” are not to be rushed through. They are invitations to slow down, to listen, and to allow something new to emerge.

If you’ve found yourself asking, “What’s next? Or, “Am I still on the right path?” This reflection is for you. May it offer some comfort to you on your journey, and be a gentle reminder that it’s perfectly alright to linger at the threshold before stepping through.

In service of truth and love,

Lee
